Senior Badminton Blitz

An enthusaticand energetic bunch of Senior Badminton players took to the courts on Friday 28th June for theirEnd of Season event.. (although it may in theory be the end of season, this eager gang have plans to continue playing throughtout the summer)
Kevin Dunican running a blitz for the first time did an amazing job on keeping players on their toes. Kevin showed little sympathy for those showing signs of early fatigue, no names will be mentioned “G”but you know who you are!!!!!!!
In each game pairings had 6 minutes to score as many points as possible, naturally with a time allocation this added to the excitment of the games and made for some veryspeedy moves.
There was certainly no shortage of fun on the courts and this continued into the early hours with food and a “few” drinks upstairs in the bar.

Blitz results:          Winners         Tina Daly & Hiroshi Suzuki
Runners up     Hilary O’Sullivan & Ashok Balakrishnan
Again, well done to Kevin and also to Ger Healy who acted as Kevin’s right hand women.
