Junior Tennis Championships

The Junior Tennis Championships concluded last Saturday with a series of great finals. Well done to Junior Captain Jason Comerford and all those who assisted in making the tournament a great success. Many thanks to Mimi Conroy and The Computer Store for supporting the tournament

Senior Club Championhips

The Senior Tennis Club Championships will take place from from 29th August to 18th September.

• Open to members only
• Grades A, B1, B2, C
• Closing date for entries is Tuesday 23rd August at 6pm
• Entry fee €10 per event - €25 for 3 events
• Entry forms availabale in the Clubhouse

Dan Constantinescu is victorious in Castlebar

Congratulations to Dan Constanstenscu who captured the Mens B singles title in the prestigious Castlebar Championships last week.

Fund raising evening

As previously advised, a fun raising evening takes place tonight at 8.30. All are invited. The cost is €5

Courts 4 & 5

The Management committee has decided, in principle, to resurface courts 4 & 5 with the the new Tiger Tennis surface. This surface comes highly recommended and is in place in many clubs. The committee is currently completing the procurement process.  It is hoped to complete the works as soon as possible.

Due to a lot work by Kieran Tuohy reparing Court 4 it now has  a temporary repair and is back in play.

Junior News - Summer Camps & Eoin Power

Over 190 children and teens particpated in the summer camps in the Club. Well done to all those who coorodinated the activities and provided support and back up.
